April 21, 2023 a meeting was held at the institute with students of the medical and biological class 10 "G" of the Lyceum No. 8 named after academician E.K. Fedorov "N. Novgorod, timed to coincide with the birthday of academician I.N. Blokhina.

The meeting with schoolchildren was held in the format of the Open Doors to Science project, which is part of the Science Nearby initiative, which defines the task of attracting talented young people to the field of research and development within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology announced by the President of Russia. The staff of the institute conducted a tour of the laboratory divisions of the institute, introduced the schoolchildren to the main areas of scientific research, modern laboratory equipment, leading scientists and young employees conducting scientific research. The children visited the museum of the institute, which presents the historical milestones of the formation and development of our institution.
