80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945

The concert “The Fatal 40s” was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
Artists of the Nizhny Novgorod Philharmonic named after M. Rostropovich - Honored Artist of Russia Larisa Tryanina (folk voice) and laureate of international competitions Tatyana Gein (soprano) performed songs of the war and post-war years for the employees of the institute, accompanied by Alexey Timushev (piano). Guitarist Roman Polyakov performed arrangements of well-known and beloved songs. Tragic and solemn, cheerful and folk - these melodies and songs found a response in the soul of every person, did not leave any of the listeners indifferent.
Larisa Tryanina opened the program with a piercing and emotional performance of the pre-war waltz "Still Alive". Many more exciting and beloved compositions were performed - "Mamayev Kurgan", "Muscovites", "Beloruska i Gruzin", "Katyusha", "Kazaki v Berlin", "Smuglyanka", "Siniy kerchief" and others. The words of these songs are familiar to everyone from childhood.

Concert dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory
On April 29, 2025, a festive concert was held to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Veterans and employees of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Rospotrebnadzor institutions gathered in the assembly hall of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Hygiene and Occupational Pathology of Rospotrebnadzor. The concert participants performed songs from the war years, as well as modern compositions dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and local conflicts. The employees of the laboratory of molecular biology and biotechnology, senior researcher Sakharnov N.A. and laboratory assistant Suslov N.A. took part in the concert from the Federal Budgetary Scientific Institution "Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Academician I.N. Blokhina" of Rospotrebnadzor. Our guys - participants of the regional stage of the "Songs of Victory" competition - were included in the team representing the organizations of Rospotrebnadzor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region at the All-Russian stage.

Young sientiscs held a meeting dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945
The memorial events took place on April 21 and 22, 2025. The meeting was attended by young scientists - members of the SMU FBUN NNIIEM named after Academician I.N. Blokhina of Rospotrebnadzor, as well as employees of the institute.
The Chairman of the SMU Council, Novoselova A.A., made a report on the activities of the Gorky Regional Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology (now the Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute named after Academician I.N. Blokhina of Rospotrebnadzor) in 1941-1945. In her report, Novoselova A.A. spoke about the production and scientific activities of the institute during the Great Patriotic War, as well as the invaluable contribution of employees to ensuring sanitary and epidemiological protection of the population.
Young scientists of the institute presented reports on the military exploits of their relatives who participated in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945:
- Junior researcher of the laboratory of epidemiology of viral hepatitis Korneva A.A. told about his great-grandfather, Vasily Semenovich Kornev;
- Senior laboratory assistant of the laboratory of immunochemistry Zaitsev D.E. shared memories of his great-grandfather, Dmitry Ignatyevich Kuzmin;
- Junior researcher of the laboratory of epidemiology of viral hepatitis Novoselova A.A. told about her great-grandmother and great-grandfather, Tamara Yegorovna Sazhinykh and Ilya Semenovich.
Senior colleagues also shared memories of their relatives who participated in the Great Patriotic War.

At the end of the meeting of the SMU, the employees of the institute honored the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence. Great pride, the pain of loss and the fire of memories will remain with us forever.
