Forum “Practical aspects of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of current diseases”

June 19-21, 2024 The Forum of Preventive Medicine (hereinafter referred to as the Forum) of the Volga Federal District was held in Nizhny Novgorod, dedicated to current aspects of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases. The Institute was one of the organizers of this event. The forum was held in person with an online broadcast to the constituent entities of the Volga Federal District and other regions of Russia. In total, 559 people took part in the event, including 127 in-person and 432 online participants.
A number of significant events took place within the framework of the Forum:

June 19, 2024 - II district scientific and practical conference “Practical aspects of epidemiological surveillance and control of current infectious diseases” (hereinafter referred to as the Conference).

June 20, 2024 - a round table of the main freelance epidemiologists of the Volga Federal District and master classes on the use of stakeholder management tools in the activities of a hospital epidemiologist and the fundamental aspects of working with a central venous catheter.

June 21, 2024 - a meeting of the Journal Club with the presentation of student research and projects in the field of prevention of infectious diseases.

The Institute's staff took an active part in the Forum. During the Conference, 9 reports were presented on the results of various research and development carried out in the scientific laboratories of the Institute. Director of the institution, Doctor of Medical Sciences Zaitseva N.N. was the chairman of the plenary session of the Forum.

This event became an important event for the exchange of knowledge and experience, professional competencies of employees of healthcare institutions and Rospotrebnadzor, mutually beneficial cooperation of specialists from institutions of medical science and practice of the Volga Federal District, including within the framework of the activities of the scientific and methodological center for monitoring pathogens of infectious and infectious diseases operating on the basis of the Institute parasitic diseases of pathogenicity groups II-IV of the PFD. The result of the Forum will be the strengthening of joint activities to improve epidemiological surveillance, control and prevention of infectious diseases in the Volga region regions.
