Its uniqueness lay in the unified principles of organization and centralization of all healthcare, and the key role was played by free of charge, accessibility and qualification. The creator of the model was Nikolai Aleksandrovich Semashko, the first People's Commissar of Health of the Soviet Union.

Interregional conference of epidemiologists of the Volga Federal District has been held

On May 29 (2019) the interregional scientific-practical conference of the epidemiologists of the Volga Federal District "Epidemiological safety of medical care and anti-epidemic provision of the population" was held

The event was held in the framework of the XX International Medical Forum "Quality and safety of medical care" (May 28-30, 2019, Nizhny Novgorod). One of the organizers of the conference was the Blokhina Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology of Nizhny Novgorod.

The conference was presented with 8 reports on the epidemic situation in the region. The event attracted the participation of specialists from scientific and scientific institutions of Russia. The conference also included a round table on “current issues on immunoprophylaxis of the population and health workers”, a master class on “Modern possibilities of using bacteriophages in the fight against infections” and the School of NASCI on infections of the surgical field.
