Nikolay Semashko: the creator of Soviet healthcare

The Soviet healthcare system was considered one of the best in the world. Its uniqueness lay in the unified principles of organization and centralization of all healthcare, and the key role was played by free of charge, accessibility and qualification. The creator of the model was Nikolai Aleksandrovich Semashko, the first People's Commissar of Health of the Soviet Union.
World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day, declared in 1988, was the first internationally recognized day dedicated to health protection. Its purpose is to raise global awareness of HIV/AIDS, provide support to people living with HIV, and unite efforts to combat the spread of this disease.

On May 12, at a meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute, the adviser to the director Efimov E.I. presented 2 state awards - the Certificate of Honor of the President of the Russian Federation and the jubilee medal "In memory of the 800th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod".

The awards were presented by the Chief Federal Inspector for the Nizhny Novgorod Region of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Murzin A.M.
