On June 16, 2022, the 22nd ceremony of presenting the main award in the field of medicine "Vocation" was held in Moscow. This award is a recognition of the merits of the best doctors in Russia in various fields - a joint project of Channel One and the Ministry of Health.

This award is about treatment methods that could not have been imagined until recently, about breakthrough technologies in the fight against oncology; about helping the smallest patients; about world-class scientific discoveries, previously unknown diseases and their diagnostic system.

This year, doctors from different cities and regions of Russia were awarded in the nomination "For the creation of a new diagnostic method", who, under the guidance of Dr. A. A. Totolyan, director of the Pasteur St. Petersburg Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology of Rospotrebnadzor, conducted a unique scientific study of population immunity to the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Russian residents. The study lasted two years, covered 26 regions of Russia, and 30,000 residents of the country took part in it. This study became the basis for developing the principles of serological monitoring and forecasting the development of any infectious diseases (including such especially dangerous infections as smallpox). The study was conducted for the first time in the history of Russia.
