Its uniqueness lay in the unified principles of organization and centralization of all healthcare, and the key role was played by free of charge, accessibility and qualification. The creator of the model was Nikolai Aleksandrovich Semashko, the first People's Commissar of Health of the Soviet Union.

On March 23, 2023, a meeting was held at the institute with students from the Department of Molecular Biology and Immunology of the University named after N.N. N.I. Lobachevsky.

The meeting was held in the format of the "Open Doors to Science Day" within the framework of events dedicated to the decade of science and technology. The staff of the institute conducted a tour of the scientific laboratories, introduced them to the areas of scientific work, modern research methods and equipment.
