Nikolay Semashko: the creator of Soviet healthcare

The Soviet healthcare system was considered one of the best in the world. Its uniqueness lay in the unified principles of organization and centralization of all healthcare, and the key role was played by free of charge, accessibility and qualification. The creator of the model was Nikolai Aleksandrovich Semashko, the first People's Commissar of Health of the Soviet Union.
World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day, declared in 1988, was the first internationally recognized day dedicated to health protection. Its purpose is to raise global awareness of HIV/AIDS, provide support to people living with HIV, and unite efforts to combat the spread of this disease.

March 27-29, 2023 employees of the Institute took part in the XV Annual All-Russian Congress on Infectious Diseases. Academician V.I. Pokrovsky.

Director of the institute d.m.s. N.N. Zaitseva was the chairman of the symposium "Epidemiological Surveillance of Infectious Diseases". The reports at the Congress were made by the deputy. Director of the Institute for Research, Head of the Laboratory of Epidemiology of Viral Hepatitis, Ph.D. A.V. Polyanina and staff of the Laboratory of Molecular Epidemiology of Viral Infections: Leading Researcher, Ph.D. L.N. Golitsyna, Senior Researcher, Ph.D. T.A. Sashina, junior researcher A. V. Leonov - participant of the competition for young scientists for the best report (report in poster format).
