On May 23, leading artists of the Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Philharmonic named after M. Rostropovich performed for the Institute’s staff.

Accompanied by Natalia Privarskaya (piano) and Roman Polyakov (guitar), the artists performed favorite songs of the war and post-war years, which resonate in everyone's soul, the words of which we all know from childhood. These melodies will forever remain lyrical hymns of a bitter, difficult, incredibly heroic period in the history of our country and, at the same time, they carry confidence in victory and reflect the bright memory of the people and our gratitude to previous generations.
German Desyatnikov (baritone) opened the program with the solemn song of Alexandra Pakhmutova "Let's bow to those great years". Legendary melodies, favorite songs: "Katyusha", "We need one victory", "Smuglyanka", "Song about a distant homeland", "People remember", "Voennaya Semenovna", "V lesa prifrontovom" and others were soulfully performed by the winners of international and all-Russian competitions: Natalia Grushko (mezzo-soprano), Artem Lyamin (bass, he was also the host of the concert), Elena Martemyanova (folk voice), Izolda Maksimova (mezzo-soprano) and Honored Artist of Russia Larisa Tryanina (folk voice). The entire audience sang along with the soloists! On this day, the audience experienced many exciting moments, felt a unifying feeling of love, grief and pride for the feat of the Russian people.
