Its uniqueness lay in the unified principles of organization and centralization of all healthcare, and the key role was played by free of charge, accessibility and qualification. The creator of the model was Nikolai Aleksandrovich Semashko, the first People's Commissar of Health of the Soviet Union.
World AIDS Day

The conference "New concepts and methods in microbiology, virology and immunology" was held in Minsk

On May 30–31, 2024, in Minsk (Republic of Belarus), the Republican scientific and practical conference with international participation “New concepts and methods in microbiology, virology and immunology” was held, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the state institution “Republican scientific and practical center for epidemiology and microbiology”, in which the director of the institute N.N. Zaitseva took part.

More than 250 scientists and specialists took part in the conference, including specialists from the sanitary and epidemiological service, healthcare organizations, leading scientists in the field of epidemiology, microbiology, virology, immunology of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. The conference heard 72 reports, including 18 interactive electronic reports, which presented the latest scientific achievements in the field of virology, microbiology and molecular biology. Director of the Institute N. N. Zaitseva chaired the section "Improving the epidemiological monitoring of infectious and parasitic diseases. Molecular epidemiology of pathogens", made a report on the topic "Molecular genetic monitoring of the Epstein-Barr virus in adult HIV-infected patients". During the event, a fruitful exchange of experience and competencies in the field of diagnostics, treatment and medical prevention of human infectious diseases took place.
