Its uniqueness lay in the unified principles of organization and centralization of all healthcare, and the key role was played by free of charge, accessibility and qualification. The creator of the model was Nikolai Aleksandrovich Semashko, the first People's Commissar of Health of the Soviet Union.

Students of Nizhny Novgorod universities undergo training at the Institute

During June and July 2024, students from the Institute of Biology and Biomedicine of the National Research Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod completed their industrial training at the Institute.

The third-year students' industrial practice was held at the Laboratory of Molecular Epidemiology of Viral Infections and the Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology under the supervision of leading specialists of the Institute. During the practice, the students mastered the methods of genotyping human rotaviruses and herpesviruses using multiplex polymerase chain reaction and Sanger sequencing, bioinformatics processing of nucleotide sequences. The acquired skills will help in the future scientific work of future specialists. The results obtained during the practice will serve as the basis for the preparation of coursework and final qualifying works of a bachelor.
