The creator of the model was Nikolai Aleksandrovich Semashko, the first People's Commissar of Health of the Soviet Union.

The employees of the laboratory of molecular biology and biotechnology of the Institute of our Institute have submitted an application for the Nizhny Novgorod city prize.

The work submitted to the competition is devoted to the study of the molecular genetic diversity of the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) in individuals infected with HIV and their relationship with the characteristics of the disease. In the work, for the first time in Russia, a quantitative assessment of EBV in HIV-infected patients was carried out in the context of different clinical stages of HIV infection, the degree of immune disorders, the duration of infection of patients and the use of antiretroviral therapy. The work received positive feedback from leading specialists in Nizhny Novgorod in the field of medicine and biology. The nomination of the institute's employees contributes to the growth of the institute's popularity among residents of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod region, raising awareness of citizens about the current areas of scientific work of the institute.
