A lecture on the topic "Probiotic drugs and food products for microbiota correction" was given to 2nd year students of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Primary Medical University" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

The lecturers were employees of the laboratory of human microbiome and means of its correction of the Federal Budgetary Scientific Institution of the Novosibirsk Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Academician I.N. Blokhina of Rospotrebnadzor, senior researcher, candidate of biological sciences Anna Georgievna Tochilina and leading researcher, candidate of medical sciences Irina Viktorovna Belova.

The lecture material described in detail the means for correcting microbiota - bacteriophages and probiotics, produced in the form of medicines and food products, including dietary supplements to food, and also analyzed the mechanism of their action. Algorithms for including probiotics in complex schemes for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with infectious and somatic diseases against the background of basic therapy were presented. Students acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills on this issue.
