The work of A.V. Korneva took third place in the Competition of Works of Young Scientists, held as part of the Congress.

The Epidemiology 2026 International Congress will be held April 16–17, 2026, in Moscow. The Institute was represented by Director of the Institute, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor N.N. Zaitseva; Leading Researcher of the Laboratory of Molecular Epidemiology of Viral Infections, PhD N.V. Epifanova; and young researchers of the Laboratory of Epidemiology of Viral Hepatitis – Junior Researchers A.A. Novoselova and A.A. Korneva.
N.V. Epifanova presented a report, "Genomic Epidemiological Surveillance of Enterovirus and Norovirus Infection," as part of the section "Molecular Genetic Monitoring in the System of Epidemiological Surveillance of Infectious Diseases: Current Capabilities and Prospects."
Young scientists participated in the Young Scientists' Competition, the results of which were announced on April 16. A total of 47 young specialists participated in the Competition, presenting the results of their research in the areas of epidemiology (41 papers) and diagnostics (6 papers).
Alena Andreevna Korneva's paper, "Seroepidemiological Characteristics of Enteral Viral Hepatitis in the Nizhny Novgorod Region," was awarded a third-place diploma in the Epidemiology category.
