The session will take place on October 29, 2026, as part of the 14th Interregional Interdisciplinary Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Infectious Diseases of the Volga-Vyatka Region."

Venue: "Marins Nizhny Novgorod" Hotel Complex, "Yalta" Congress Hall, 12 Sovetskaya St., Nizhny Novgorod.

Format: Hybrid (in-person and online).

Key topics to be addressed in the session:

  1. Epidemiology and social significance of infectious diseases.
  2. Organization of medical care for infectious diseases in children and adults.
  3. Epidemic process of infectious diseases.
  4. Viral infections.
  5. Bacterial infections.
  6. Infectious diseases of the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts.
  7. Infectious diseases of the central nervous system.
  8. Viral hepatitis: new treatment approaches.
  9. HIV infection.
  10. Pathogen resistance and rational antimicrobial chemotherapy.
  11. Immunological aspects of infectious disease incidence.
  12. Prevention of infectious diseases.

The event will include a competition for presentations by young scientists and specialists (aged 39 and under). Presentations will be evaluated by a competition committee.

The conference's scientific program is being submitted for accreditation by the Coordination Council for the Development of Continuing Medical and Pharmaceutical Education under the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
