The head of the Volga District Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS, E.E. Kuzovatova, held a series of seminars with teachers studying in additional professional education programs

25  04.2025 The classes were held in April 2025 as part of the course "Organization of preventive work in an educational organization on issues of diseases associated with risky behavior" at the Nizhny Novgorod Institute for Education Development.

The seminars addressed the issues of behavioral risk diseases - bad habits, addictions, dependencies; medical, social, legal and ethical aspects of the problem of HIV infection and viral hepatitis, the concept of stigma and discrimination, sexually transmitted infections, psychoactive substances and teenagers. During the classes, the features of adolescence, characterized by a tendency to risky behavior, stress resistance as a characteristic of a healthy personality were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the current problem of adolescent reproductive health and the factors that determine it.
The role and place of preventive work in the system of health-preserving activities in an educational organization were discussed with teachers, the students studied the provisions of the regulatory framework for activities to prevent the spread of behavioral risk diseases among students, acquired practical skills in using modern technologies in the prevention of HIV infection and viral hepatitis, got acquainted with preventive film and video materials and electronic resources for prevention. Classes were held in a modern format - face-to-face training using distance learning technologies and electronic educational resources.
