Head of the Laboratory of Immunochemistry of the NNIIEM Novikov V.V. gave a course for biology students.

Classes were held from February to June 2025. Head of the Laboratory of Immunochemistry of the Federal Budgetary Institution of Science NNIIEM named after Academician I.N. Blokhina of Rospotrebnadzor, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation Viktor Vladimirovich Novikov gave a course of lectures for 3rd-year biology students of the Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod.
The course covered the basics of the functioning of the immune system of representatives of the living world, in particular, humans and animals. The mechanisms of implementation of cellular and humoral immunity, the work of the complement system, the features of the structure and function of antibodies were covered. Special attention was paid to the importance of the major histocompatibility complex, the cytokine network and the interferon system in the immune response to infections, the role of homeostatic equilibrium, as well as the importance of cell populations functioning on the border of innate and adaptive immunity. Following the lecture, students gained new knowledge in the field of immunology of the living world.
