An institute employee gave a talk on infectious disease prevention.

10  09.2025 A.V. Polyanina, Deputy Director for Research and Head of the Viral Hepatitis Epidemiology Laboratory at the I.N. Blokhina Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology (Rospotrebnadzor), held a discussion with teachers and parents of students at the St. Sergius of Radonezh Nizhny Novgorod Orthodox Gymnasium.

The discussion took place during a parent-teacher meeting on September 10, 2025. A.V. Polyanina discussed the epidemiological situation of infectious diseases common in the Nizhny Novgorod region, including enterovirus infection, viral hepatitis, acute intestinal infections, acute respiratory viral infections, non-infectious diseases, and influenza, their main symptoms, and prevention methods. Particular attention was paid to the need to promptly seek medical attention, as well as self-isolation and quarantine for those infected.
A total of 250 people attended the meeting.
