Specialists from the Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Academician I.N. Blokhina of Rospotrebnadzor have developed and received a patent for the invention "A method for detecting antibodies to recombinant proteins VP1, VP2, and VP3 of Echovirus 30."

The Institute hosted a meeting with residents of the Faculty of Preventive Medicine at the Volga Region Research Medical University.

First-year residents visited the institute on October 1, 2025.

To attract talented young people to scientific research and development, events are continuing as part of the Decade of Science and Technology declared by the President of Russia.

During the meeting, young doctors met with the Institute's Director, who described the institute's development as a multidisciplinary research center and its contribution to ensuring the country's anti-epidemic protection. They were given a tour of the Institute's museum, whose exhibits reflect the historical milestones of the institute's formation and development as a scientific organization of Rospotrebnadzor.

Resident physicians visited research laboratories, learned about the fundamentals of scientific process organization, modern laboratory equipment, and the institute's latest developments in epidemiology, virology, and molecular biology. The students also met with leading scientists and young specialists at the Institute and received answers to all their questions.
