A series of educational talks with patients took place in October 2025. The age of the participants ranged from 21 to 60 years.

Throughout October, infectious disease specialists conducted a series of talks with patients at the Institute's Infectious Diseases Clinic about influenza prevention. The participants ranged in age from 21 to 52 (55 patients) and from 60 to 74 (45 patients).

The events were part of Rospotrebnadzor's large-scale educational project, the "Sanprosvet" Lecture Hall, aimed at raising public awareness of effective methods for preventing infectious diseases.

K.M. Perfilova, PhD, Deputy Chief Physician of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases, and I.V. Shutova, PhD, Head of the Second Infectious Disease Department, spoke to the audience about the dangers of the acute infectious disease influenza. Since severe infections and complications are most common in older adults, the talks focused on patients aged 60+. Participants were informed about the increased risk of exacerbation of chronic diseases and other possible complications of influenza. Particular attention was paid to flu prevention measures. At the end of the discussion, participants received information on preventative measures.
