Teachers from comprehensive schools in the Nizhny Novgorod region took part in the educational event.

On March 14, 2026, E.E. Kuzovatova, PhD, Associate Professor and Head of the Volga District Center for AIDS Prevention and Control at the Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Academician I.N. Blokhina, held an online lesson on the prevention of seasonal infections.

The event was attended by 32 teachers from comprehensive schools in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. During the videoconference, E.E. Kuzovatova discussed the current respiratory infection season, preventative measures to prevent the spread of seasonal infections among students, and the possibilities of immunoprophylaxis. She emphasized the need to ensure that staff and students adhere to sanitary and hygienic rules and personal hygiene.

Participants were taught and demonstrated how to properly put on, wear, remove, and dispose of masks. The participants were also introduced to the algorithm for proper handwashing, an important hygiene procedure and a key component in preventing a wide range of infections, including acute intestinal infections, influenza, and other respiratory infections, including COVID-19.

E.E. Kuzovatova emphasized that maintaining a healthy lifestyle—regular physical activity, hardening, adequate rest, and a balanced diet—helps improve the body's resistance to infectious diseases.
