The Institute's staff held an educational seminar with teachers

27  04.2026 Employees of Nizhny Novgorod schools and technical colleges were trained in the basics of HIV prevention among students.

On April 27, 2026, staff from the Volga District Center for AIDS Prevention and Control of the Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Academician I.N. Blokhina, part of Rospotrebnadzor, held an educational seminar for teachers from schools and technical colleges in the Nizhny Novgorod Region on organizing HIV prevention programs for students. Eighteen participants participated in the seminar, which was held as an online conference.

The participants were informed about the development of the HIV epidemic globally, the epidemiological situation in Russia and the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the main routes of transmission, prevention measures, and the main provisions of the state strategy to combat the spread of HIV in the Russian Federation through 2030. It was emphasized that preventive work with students should be aimed at fostering a healthy and safe lifestyle and developing norms of social behavior.
