The Chairman of the SMU NNIIEM took part in the discussion of support measures for young scientists of the Nizhny Novgorod region

March 11, 2020 On the basis of GBU DPO "Nizhny Novgorod Scientific Information Center" a meeting was held to discuss the support of young scientists and the 25th Nizhny Novgorod Session of young scientists. From the institute, the Chairperson of the Council of Young Scientists Kolesnikova Elena Aleksandrovna took part in the meeting.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, councils of young scientists from leading universities and research institutes of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, institutes of Rosatom and industrial enterprises.
Within the framework of the meeting, the issues of holding the next Session of young scientists of the Nizhny Novgorod Region were discussed: the composition of the sections, filling out the block of additional professional education programs for participants, the format for young scientists to participate in the Session (one-day or full), the possibility of changing the date and place of the event, as well as the cultural block Sessions.
As measures to support young scientists of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, quotas were proposed in peer-reviewed scientific journals of the NNIEU, NGPU, NSTU, NNGASU, PIMU, VGUVT for the participants of the Session.
Based on the results of the meeting, it was decided: to accredit the Session in the semifinal of the semi-final program of the Foundation for the Promotion of Innovations "UMNIK"; hold the Session in the form of an open competition, the participants of which will make reports on the topic of their scientific work; to introduce representatives of universities and scientific organizations — doctors and candidates of sciences — into the jury; It was also decided to hold the Session in the form of a field event in the second half of September 2020.
Further organizational issues and proposals will be discussed at the next meeting on April 7, 2020.
