On December 1-3, 2022, the II Congress of Young Scientists was held in the Park of Science and Art of the Federal Territory Sirius, which brought together more than 3,000 participants, including a delegation of Rospotrebnadzor from young scientists of subordinate scientific organizations. The institute was represented by Anna Dmitrievna Kashnikova in the delegation.

On the territory of the Congress, there was an exhibition exposition of Rospotrebnadzor "Russia - a country protected from epidemics", dedicated to the implementation of the federal project "Sanitary shield of the country - safety for health (prevention, detection, response), the main results of the work of the world-class genomic research center to ensure biological safety and technological independence, as well as an area with historical photographs of the formation of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Russia, which celebrated its centenary this year.
Members of the delegation attended sessions of particular interest in their field of activity. So, for example, during the sessions "Bioeconomy of Russia - 2030: modern biotechnologies as an interdisciplinary trend in the economy of the future" and "Medical biotechnologies as a vector for the development of the economy and a healthy society", the problems of development and implementation of Russian biotechnologies in modern realities, as well as the most probable ways to overcome them. The topic of personalization of medicine is considered in great detail. In conclusion, it is said that the development and implementation of new effective biotechnological products is a key factor in creating a healthy environment.

At the session “Medicines of the 21st century”, questions were raised about the development of drugs in silico using artificial intelligence technology, the ethical aspects of the process, as well as the effectiveness and safety of such technologies were considered.

On the final day of the Congress, the session "Genetics - a global challenge" was held, where the introduction of genetic technologies in various spheres of life, including to ensure the biotechnological sovereignty of our country, was discussed.

An active discussion took place within the framework of the lecture “Frontiers of medical science: how to understand what is important now and what will be relevant in the future?”. Key areas in medicine, the complexity of solving medical problems and the ethical components of most innovative developments were discussed. It was concluded that interdisciplinarity is the key to the successful solution of most issues. It is also very important to train qualified personnel to ensure well-coordinated work and effective development of the medical field. One of the fronts was marked with a block: "Epidemiology, infectious diseases, the creation of vaccines."
As part of the delegation of young scientists of Rospotrebnadzor, junior researcher took part in the Congress. laboratory of epidemiology of viral hepatitis Kashnikova Anna Dmitrievna.
