The competition was held as part of the IX National Congress of Bacteriologists, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution “State Research Center for Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology” of Rospotrebnadzor.

The IX National Congress of Bacteriologists was held on September 17-19, 2024, in Moscow, in the Lomonosov scientific cluster.
The competition for the best poster report of a young scientist was held in two stages. The first stage was held online. Congress listeners got acquainted with the reports of young scientists and voted for the best works. At the second stage, the poster reports were evaluated by a competent jury. Prizes were awarded in two categories: "Fundamental Research" and "Applied Research".
Young scientist of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Nikita Alekseevich Suslov took part in the competition with the report "Genotyping of isolates of human herpes virus 6B in children". By the decision of the Congress listeners and the jury members, the report of N.A. Suslov was awarded a prize in the category "Fundamental Research".
