Day of Remembrance and Sorrow
22  06.2022
June 22, 1941 - one of the saddest dates in the history of Russia - the Day of Memory and Sorrow - the day the Great Patriotic War began.

From this terrible day, an unprecedented confrontation between our many national people and the Nazi invaders began, which lasted 1418 days and nights and ended with a complete victory over the Nazis on May 9, 1945.
The Soviet people responded to the enemy with a single mighty resistance, stood in the full sense of the word to the death, defending the Fatherland.

This day commemorates all those who died in battle, were tortured to death in fascist captivity, who died in the rear from hunger and deprivation. We mourn for all those who, at the cost of their lives, fulfilled their holy duty, defending their homeland.

Dear colleagues, I propose at 12.15 Moscow time, together with all the inhabitants of Russia, to take part in an all-Russian minute of silence.
