The Soviet healthcare system was considered one of the best in the world. Its uniqueness lay in the unified principles of organization and centralization of all healthcare, and the key role was played by free of charge, accessibility and qualification. The creator of the model was Nikolai Aleksandrovich Semashko, the first People's Commissar of Health of the Soviet Union.
World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day, declared in 1988, was the first internationally recognized day dedicated to health protection. Its purpose is to raise global awareness of HIV/AIDS, provide support to people living with HIV, and unite efforts to combat the spread of this disease.

The institute held a meeting between the administration of the institution and the participants of the children's drawing competition

On September 30, 2022, the administration of the institution met with the participants of the children's drawing competition, which was held as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Russia, as well as the 135th anniversary of the formation of the first sanitary institution of the Nizhny Novgorod province.

The meeting was attended by children and grandchildren of the institute staff with their parents. The meeting was held in a very warm atmosphere, all participants, including two laureates who took 2nd and 3rd places in the regional stage of the competition (Chvanova Natasha, 12 years old and Molchanov Dmitry, 5 years old), were awarded prizes and gifts. Director of the Institute Zaitseva N.N. thanked them for participating in the competition, spoke about the main areas of work and various professions of the institute staff, including their parents.
The children shared their impressions, their plans for the future, including the desire to continue the professional dynasty of their parents, wrote down wishes and parting words for the institution as a whole, and also visited the institute's museum exposition, where they were given an excursion.
