The monograph “Bacterial and viral pathogens of community-acquired pneumonia in children” has been published

The monograph was prepared by the staff of the laboratory of metagenomics and molecular indication of pathogens.

The monograph presents a meta-analysis of modern literature data, as well as the results of the authors' own research on the problem of community-acquired pneumonia, describes the features of the etiological structure of pneumonia in children of different age groups during the spread of a new coronavirus infection, characterizes the biological (phenotypic and genetic) properties of pathogens, including sensitivity to antibacterial drugs, considers issues of laboratory diagnostics, special attention is paid to molecular genetic research methods and determining their place in the system of epidemiological surveillance of community-acquired pneumonia.

This publication is intended for specialists of bodies and organizations of Rospotrebnadzor, bacteriologists, epidemiologists, infectious disease specialists, pulmonologists, specialists in the clinical diagnostic service, teachers and students of medical and biological universities.
