Institute staff conducted practical classes for PIMU students

11  12.2025 In November 2025, young specialists from the institute conducted practical classes in general microbiology for second-year students of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Volga Region Research Medical Institute" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

Medical students learned the basics of microbiology under the guidance of Dmitry Aleksandrovich Melentyev and Vladislav Aleksandrovich Lapin, junior research fellows in the immunochemistry laboratory at the I.N. Blokhina Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology (Rospotrebnadzor). During the classes, the future doctors were introduced to the diverse world of bacteria and viruses and acquired theoretical and practical skills in working with microorganisms. The training also focused on the role of microorganisms in the pathogenesis of infectious diseases.
