A seminar of young scientists of the Institute on the use of gel electrophoresis was held

29  11.2019 November 27, 2019 An interlaboratory scientific and practical seminar of young scientists “Capillary gel electrophoresis. The principle of operation and use in laboratory practice" was held.

The workshop was held at the laboratory of metagenomics and molecular indication of pathogens. In the framework of the workshop, Kolesnikova E.N. Lecture and practical classes were held on the formulation of capillary gel electrophoresis. A brief overview of the device device for capillary gel electrophoresis and the principle of its operation was presented in the materials, the basics of calibration and adjustment of the device, analysis of the results were considered.

During the practical part of the seminar, the participants got acquainted with the possibilities of using capillary gel electrophoresis for the diagnosis of pathogens of human infectious diseases and for assessing the quality of libraries prepared for NGS sequencing.
