An online seminar "Problems of analysis of public health risks and ways of solving them" was held

21  10.2021 On September 20, a joint online seminar "Problems of analysis of public health risks and ways of solving them" was held

The event was attended by 22 young scientists and specialists from institutes. According to the agenda at the seminar, 6 scientific reports were considered and discussed on the following issues:

• Design and study of the antigenic properties of proteins that are the basis of candidate vaccines against human norovirus infection;
• Monitoring the features of the epidemic process of infection caused by viral hepatitis C in Nizhny Novgorod, forecasting the development of the epidemic situation;
• New approaches to the assessment of occupational risk in workers in noise-hazardous professions.
• Search for methods for monitoring, assessing and correcting the functional state of the body in the working-age population in order to prevent stress-induced pathology.
• Organization of the work of the center for additional professional education of medical workers.
• In the reports of the conference participants, an analysis of urgent problems associated with the risk to public health and the search for ways and means of preventing and / or minimizing it is presented.

Based on the analysis of the results and discussion of a wide range of issues, the conference participants are unanimous in the opinion that at the present stage, an effective way to reduce the risk to public health is an integrated approach: analyzing the causes of risk, predicting the development of the situation, developing methods and means to minimize risk or prevent it. In the institutions of Rospotrebnadzor, comprehensive scientific and practical work is being carried out in these areas, including personnel training, which is the basis for protecting public health.

At the same time, in order to coordinate and improve the efficiency of work, it is advisable to conduct research "at the junction" of the fields of scientific knowledge, which makes cooperation between young scientists and specialists of various specialties relevant. The participants of the seminar propose to continue the practice of joint scientific and practical activities of young scientists and specialists of two institutions of Rospotrebnadzor, as well as to consider the possibilities of further cooperation and joint research work on topical topics.
