The event was attended by more than 40 young scientists and specialists from the Research Institute of Rospotrebnadzor. According to the agenda, the seminar reviewed and discussed 14 scientific reports on the following issues:
- the use of bioinformatic analysis and modern diagnostic approaches to improve the algorithms and technologies for the production of means for laboratory diagnostics, and the specific prevention of dangerous infections;
- improving the monitoring of pathogens of infectious diseases (COVID-19, brucellosis, anthrax, arbovirus infections, community-acquired pneumonia, etc.) based on the introduction of modern molecular analysis algorithms and geographic information systems;
- study of the features of cultivation and the formation of resistance to antiviral drugs in pathogens of arbovirus infections.
From NNIIEM 12 employees took part in the seminar-conference, reports were made by:
- leading researcher Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Ph.D. Filatova E.N. with a report on the topic "Program "disprose" for the selection of specific probes for the construction of diagnostic DNA biochips"
- junior researcher laboratory of epidemiology of viral hepatitis Kashnikova A.D. with a report on the topic "Epidemiological monitoring of COVID-19 in the subjects of the Volga Federal District in 2020-2022"
The content of the reports aroused the interest of the participants of the seminar-conference.
As a result of the event, the participants of the online seminar-conference consider it necessary to continue the active scientific work of young scientists from the institutions of Rospotrebnadzor on the development and improvement of algorithms for molecular genetic analysis in order to improve the monitoring and prevention of dangerous infectious diseases.
