The Soviet healthcare system was considered one of the best in the world. Its uniqueness lay in the unified principles of organization and centralization of all healthcare, and the key role was played by free of charge, accessibility and qualification. The creator of the model was Nikolai Aleksandrovich Semashko, the first People's Commissar of Health of the Soviet Union.
World AIDS Day

From November 28 to November 30, 2023, the III Congress of Young Scientists (hereinafter referred to as the Congress) was held in the Sirius Park of Sciences and Arts. The Congress of Young Scientists is a key event of the Decade of Science and Technology, declared by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation in order to strengthen the role of science and technology in solving the most important problems of the development of society and the country. The Congress acts as the largest platform for dialogue between advanced and fundamental science, government authorities and the real sector of the economy and sets the main vectors of scientific and technological development in Russia.

The business program of the Congress was intense and varied: 157 events over three days. The program included business, exhibition, sports and cultural events. The business program traditionally consisted of round tables, expert sessions, panel discussions, and also included new informal and interactive event formats. Within the framework of the Congress, an exhibition of scientific and technological development of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation was held, including the results of the implementation of regional plans based on the initiatives of the Decade of Science and Technology.
More than 5,000 people from 85 regions of the Russian Federation and 36 foreign countries took part in the Congress, of which 1,900 people were representatives of higher educational institutions, more than 1,300 people were employees of research institutes.

Senior researcher took part in the work of the Congress as part of the Rospotrebnadzor delegation. Laboratory of Cellular Immunology, Ph.D. Voronina Elena Viktorovna, who took part in several sessions - “Genetic technologies to ensure biological safety” (11/28/2023), “A new stage in the study of physiology and pathology of organs at the level of individual cells” and “Science in 10 minutes: RSF grantees talk about their research "(11/29/2023), "Superpathogens: a new civilizational challenge" (11/30/2023) - and the work of the stand of Rospotrebnadzor, where the results of the implementation of the Federal project "Sanitary Shield of Russia - Health Safety", the results of the work of the World-Class Center for Genomic Research were presented to ensure biological safety and technological independence. The Congress participants were interested in the work of the stand and actively discussed with the stand participants the activities of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of Rospotrebnadzor.
