The Soviet healthcare system was considered one of the best in the world. Its uniqueness lay in the unified principles of organization and centralization of all healthcare, and the key role was played by free of charge, accessibility and qualification. The creator of the model was Nikolai Aleksandrovich Semashko, the first People's Commissar of Health of the Soviet Union.
World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day, declared in 1988, was the first internationally recognized day dedicated to health protection. Its purpose is to raise global awareness of HIV/AIDS, provide support to people living with HIV, and unite efforts to combat the spread of this disease.

A children's drawing competition on the theme "The State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Russia - 100 years on guard of health!" is hold. Dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Russia.

The competition is held in accordance with the letter of the Federal Service of Rospotrebnadzor No. 02 / 1800-2022-32 of 01/28/2022.
The purpose of the competition is to develop the creative abilities of children and grandchildren of the institute's employees, to educate children in citizenship and respect for the professional activities of their parents. Children and grandchildren of all employees of the Institute are invited to participate.

The competition is held in three age groups:

5-6 years
7-11 years old
12-16 years old
The institutional competition is held in three categories:

Stories related to the professional activities of parents;
Russian epidemiologists and hygienists and their contribution to the development of science;
Disease prevention and healthy lifestyle.
There are three prizes in each age group. Participation in the competition is encouraged by prizes and diplomas.

The deadline for submitting children's works is until April 28, 2022.
