XIV All-Russian scientific and practical conference of young scientists and specialists of Rospotrebnadzor "Modern problems of epidemiology, microbiology and hygiene" was held from June 22 to 24, 2022.

The conference was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Russia. The recreation complex "Luzhki" (Moscow region, Serpukhov district, Luzhki village) was chosen as the venue for the event. The event was organized by the Federal Budgetary Institution “FNTSG named after A.I. F.F. Erisman" of Rospotrebnadzor, FBUN Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, FBUN "State Research Center for Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology", FBUN MNIIEM named after. G.N. Gabrichevsky Rospotrebnadzor, FBUZ "Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in the Moscow Region".
The Conference was attended by 95 young scientists and specialists from bodies and organizations of Rospotrebnadzor, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Health of Russia from 20 regions of the Russian Federation (Moscow, Moscow Region, St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Saransk, Saratov, Stavropol, Tyumen, Ufa, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, etc.).

At eight meetings, 56 scientific reports on topical issues of epidemiology, microbiology and hygiene were heard and discussed, which highlighted topical issues of improving the epidemiological surveillance of a new coronavirus infection, hepatitis B and C, measles, rubella, mumps, diphtheria and other infections based on introduction of methods of molecular microbiology, geoinformation and forecasting systems. Issues of improving algorithms for laboratory diagnostics and monitoring of pathogens of COVID-19, HIV infection, plague, brucellosis, melioidosis, syphilis, opisthorchiasis, dirofilariasis, etc. public health risks; biological, chemical and radiation safety, toxicity of nanomaterials, pesticides.

Of particular interest at the final plenary session of the Conference was the report of the Head of Rospotrebnadzor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Anna Yurievna Popova, which identified the most significant scientific areas of the Service, including issues of ensuring the biological safety of the Russian Federation, the implementation of the federal project "Sanitary shield". Anna Yurievna especially noted the role of young scientists and specialists in solving modern problems of improving epidemiological surveillance, laboratory diagnostics, protecting the country's population from pathogenic biological agents, harmful environmental factors. At the end of her speech, the Head of Rospotrebnadzor congratulated the participants of the Conference on the 100th anniversary of the Service, wished them "drive" in overcoming difficulties and achieving all the goals set.
FBSI "Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after academician I.N. Blokhina" of Rospotrebnadzor was represented at the conference by Stanislav Sarskov, researcher. laboratories of GIS technologies and bioinformatics. Stanislav Aleksandrovich made a presentation "Classification and systematization of infectious and parasitic diseases for the assessment and visualization of the epidemiological situation", dedicated to. The results of scientific research presented in the report aroused the interest of the audience.

Traditionally, the conference included a meeting of the Bureau of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of Rospotrebnadzor and the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of Rospotrebnadzor. The meetings were attended by Sarskov Stanislav Aleksandrovich and a member of the Bureau, leading researcher. Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Ph.D. Filatova Elena Nikolaevna During the meetings, the procedure for electing the Chairman and members of the CMU&S Bureau of Rospotrebnadzor in 2023 was determined, reports on the work of young scientists from some organizations of Rospotrebnadzor were heard, and the possibility of launching a preferential mortgage program for young scientists and specialists of the Federal Service was discussed.

At the end of the conference, in a solemn atmosphere, the Head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Yuryevna Popova, awarded the winners of the competition for scientific reports of young scientists and specialists, and also presented awards to members of the CMU&S Bureau of Rospotrebnadzor. Elena Nikolaevna Filatova was awarded a Certificate of Merit for providing significant assistance in solving the tasks assigned to the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare.
