Nikolay Semashko: the creator of Soviet healthcare

The Soviet healthcare system was considered one of the best in the world. Its uniqueness lay in the unified principles of organization and centralization of all healthcare, and the key role was played by free of charge, accessibility and qualification. The creator of the model was Nikolai Aleksandrovich Semashko, the first People's Commissar of Health of the Soviet Union.
World AIDS Day

The competition of works of young scientists was held within the framework of the XII Congress of the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Society of Epidemiologists, Microbiologists and Parasitologists.

On October 26–28, 2022, the XII Congress of the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Society of Epidemiologists, Microbiologists and Parasitologists was held in Moscow. Within the framework of the Congress, a Young Scientists Contest was held.
junior researcher Laboratory of Viral Hepatitis Epidemiology Anna Dmitrievna Kashnikova made a poster presentation "Molecular and genetic characteristics of hepatitis C in the Nizhny Novgorod region at the initial stage of infection elimination (2016-2021)". Anna Dmitrievna was awarded the first prize for her report.
