The Soviet healthcare system was considered one of the best in the world. Its uniqueness lay in the unified principles of organization and centralization of all healthcare, and the key role was played by free of charge, accessibility and qualification. The creator of the model was Nikolai Aleksandrovich Semashko, the first People's Commissar of Health of the Soviet Union.

World AIDS Day, declared in 1988, was the first internationally recognized day dedicated to health protection. Its purpose is to raise global awareness of HIV/AIDS, provide support to people living with HIV, and unite efforts to combat the spread of this disease.

The trade union defended the right of the institute employees to a 36-hour working week

In October, the institute passed a SAUT, as a result of which employees of scientific departments were denied the right to a shorter working day. Members of the trade union of human microbiome laboratories and means of its correction (trade union group organizer Belova Irina Viktorovna) and metagenomics and molecular indication of pathogens (trade union organization Alekseeva Anna Evgenievna) asked for help from the trade union committee of the Institute, which, in turn, sent a request to the Regional Committee of the trade union of healthcare workers of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Thanks to the active assistance of the trade union organization, the active actions of the chairman of the PPO Olga Vladimirovna Parfenova, responsible for labor protection Galiya Barievna Yermolina, heads of laboratories, members of the trade union Irina Vladlenovna Solovieva and Nina Fedorovna Brusnigina, the legal right of employees of all departments of the institute to a reduced working time was defended.


The memory of the fallen in the Great Patriotic War was honored with a minute of silence as part of an all-Russian action that took place in all regions of the country. The whole country bowed its head in memory of those who fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War and did not return, who died in captivity and were tortured to death in concentration camps, who stood to the last.

The Day of Memory and Sorrow is celebrated annually in Russia on June 22. In 2020, the government has set a single time for holding an all-Russian minute of silence throughout the country - 12.15 Moscow time. Starting this year, a minute of silence dedicated to the beginning of the Great Patriotic War has been officially established in Russia.

Employees of laboratories and clinics of the Institute took part in the all-Russian campaign, paying tribute to all the heroes.




On March 5, 2020, a concert in honor of International Women's Day on March 8 was hold.



On February 29, 2020, a trip to the city of Bogorodsk was hold.
