The VI International Forum "Days of Virology 2025" was held on September 22-23, 2025.

The event was timed to coincide with the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the Federal Research Institute of Viral Infections "Virom" of Rospotrebnadzor.

The authors of the monograph are employees of the Laboratory of Metagenomics and Molecular Indication of Pathogens of the I.N. Blokhina Novosibirsk Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing.

A.V. Polyanina, Deputy Director for Research and Head of the Viral Hepatitis Epidemiology Laboratory at the I.N. Blokhina Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology (Rospotrebnadzor), held a discussion with teachers and parents of students at the St. Sergius of Radonezh Nizhny Novgorod Orthodox Gymnasium.

The monograph was prepared by the staff of the laboratory of metagenomics and molecular indication of pathogens.

The conference is submitted for accreditation as an educational event in the continuous medical education program.

Future specialists will be taught the basics of molecular genetic diagnostics of microorganisms pathogenic to humans.

Head of the Laboratory of Immunochemistry of the NNIIEM Novikov V.V. gave a course for biology students.

The conference was timed to coincide with the 125th anniversary of the establishment of the Federal Budgetary Scientific Institution “Kazan Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology” of Rospotrebnadzor.
